Barbara Mandrell released Dave Audé’s remix of her hit song “Sleeping Single In A Double Bed.”. Written by Kye Fleming and Dennis Morgan, the dance-infused remix premiered on Rolling Stone. The original song was released August 1, 1978 and was the first single from her album, Moods. “Sleeping Single In A Double Bed” would later reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles Chart, the first of her six No. 1 singles.

Incognito Cartel Signs with Spin Doctors Music Group

Nashville based indie band veterans Incognito Cartel adds to the legacy their edgy Americana jangle pop roots by signing with Spin Doctors Music Group, releasing their 4th album on SMG Records. The 8 song album is slated for worldwide release on Saturday, June 27, along with a CD release party performance at 8:00 pm that evening at Twin Kegs II in Nashville, TN. The performance will be live streamed. In the event that a spike in COVID-19 ups the restrictions on the in-person show, the live stream will still take place.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum In-Person Programming Canceled Through July

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum announced it has canceled in-person programming through Friday, July 31, 2020. This includes performances, film screenings, interviews and other programs originally scheduled in the museum’s Ford Theater, as well as family programs and activities in the Taylor Swift Education Center. The museum has also canceled its songwriting camps and internship program for this summer.

Air Canada Announces New Service from Nashville to Montreal Next Summer

Air Canada today announced a new seasonal summer route between Nashville and Montreal, the only non-stop connection between these two cities, beginning in June. The new route will be operated by Air Canada Express on a 76-seat Embraer E175 aircraft featuring Business Class and Economy Class cabins. It complements existing year-round service from Nashville to Toronto.

Luke Combs Back in Nashville in Early 2020

ACM, CMA and CMT Award-winning artist Luke Combs wrapped his massive “Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour” with two sold-out shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Following the landmark performances, The Tennessean declared Combs “country music’s newest giant,” while The Boot asserted, “Combs’ Nashville concerts showed that his superstar trajectory is still only at its beginning.” In addition to openers Morgan Wallen and Jameson Rodgers, the Nashville shows also featured special guest performances from Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban and Old Crow Medicine Show. Tiger Crossroads Open at Nashville Zoo

Nashville Zoo recently opened its new Tiger Crossroads exhibit featuring four-year-old female Sumatran tigers. Originally built in 1989 as a black bear exhibit and then home to Bengal tigers until 2015, the Zoo’s tiger exhibit was in great need of renovation. Improvements to the exhibit enlarged the tigers’ habitat and night quarters, as well as added a new indoor viewing area for guests. The viewing building features reinforced glass panels for the closest possible view of these majestic cats, an interactive training window where guests can see keepers working with the tigers and interactive displays to engage and educate visitors about tiger conservation.
