Kentucky teenager’s body recovered from lake

The body of a teenage boy has been recovered from Kentucky Lake, officials said. The 17-year-old’s body was recovered Sunday after authorities were notified about a male that went under the water and didn’t resurface, Marshall County Deputy Coroner Curt Curtner told WPSD-TV. Curtner is also a part of the Marshall County Rescue Squad that responded to the lake.

Glasgow man dies after being struck twice by vehicles

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man died Monday after falling from his mini bike and being struck by two vehicles. At about 9:30 p.m. Monday, Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green was requested by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a fatal collision. The collision occurred on East Hiseville Main Street in Barren County. Troopers responded to the scene.

Watch: Governor Beshear holds briefing on COVID-19 status in Kentucky

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - Gov. Andy Beshear and other state officials are holding a news conference about COVID-19 in the Commonwealth. The Governor and Department for Public Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack will discuss the coronavirus, including the latest on the Delta variant, in Kentucky. They will be joined by Education Commissioner Dr. Jason Glass and the chair of the Kentucky Board of Education Lu Young. They will discuss how the virus could affect the upcoming school year.

Franklin man killed after tire “failed,” causing truck to cross I-165 median in Warren Co.

A Simpson County man has been killed when a tire “failed,” causing a truck to cross a I-165 median and hit a semi-truck. Sunday afternoon at approximately 3:00, Kentucky State Police responded to the 9-mile marker of southbound I-165 (formerly Natcher Parkway) and found that 53-year-old Anthony Rutledge, of Henderson, was driving a 1999 Ford F-350 with a gooseneck trailer north.

Hardin Co. woman accused of shooting woman during dispute

A Hardin County woman has been jailed after being accused of shooting a woman. Kentucky State Police arrested 42-year-old Christiana A. York, of Rineyville, Friday night following York getting into an altercation with a woman on Kraft Road in Rineyville, according to a report by The News-Enterprise. At some point during the dispute, York brandished a firearm and shot the woman in the stomach.
