Watch: Castle Of Muskogee Hosts Christmas Festival

Christmas is still a couple of weeks away, but the holiday season is in full swing at the Castle of Muskogee. The annual month-long festival features family-friendly activities for all ages. You can drive through outside and look at the Christmas lights and decorations or go inside and make holiday arts and crafts. There is something for everyone from more than a thousand light displays and inflatables outside to several outdoor events in the village or inside the castle.

Whataburger coming to Muskogee in 2023

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Muskogee will have its first Whataburger in 2023, the city's mayor announced. Mayor Marlon Coleman posted on Facebook Wednesday with the news. "Whataburger has purchased property in Muskogee and we're excited for this new opportunity for our residents," Coleman said.

UPDATE: Authorities investigating shooting

One man is in custody following a shooting incident earlier today, according to Haskell County Sheriff Terry Garland. The incident occurred east of Stigler. The sheriff provided the following details regarding the incident: A deputy responded to a domestic in progress, possibly involving a firearm. When the deputy arrived he was met at the door by a female stating her husband was in the bedroom with a gun, threatening to shoot her. As the deputy was speaking to her at the door the male subject came to the end of the hallway pointing a shotgun at the deputy. The deputy reacted and fired several shots at the subject, hitting him at least twice. He was transported to Baptist hospital in Ft Smith where he was treated, received several staples and released to where he is now, in the Haskell County jail. It is being investigated by Haskell county and OSBI at this time. Due to policy and protocol the deputy has been sent home on paid leave until the investigation is completed. Charges are pending on the subject.

Oklahoma hospital breaks ground on $150M expansion project
