City Of Vacaville Community Broadband Survey Reminder

VACAVILLE, Calif. - The City of Vacaville was awarded a Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant for $187,500 to fund the development of a Broadband Master Plan. The City selected Magellan Advisors to develop the plan which will be used to prioritize fiber network expansion for public facilities and to ensure continuous connectivity and resilience for public safety, emergency response and other essential City functions. The plan will also serve to improve commercial access to increase the area’s economic competitiveness to attract and retain industry. With many California households still lacking sufficient bandwidth to meet their needs, the City intends to utilize the Broadband Master Plan to help address the digital divide by increasing high-speed internet access for low-income and disadvantaged communities.

Solano County Behavioral Health and Pacific Clinics Expand Successful Community-Based Mobile Crisis Services

VACAVILLE, Calif. (April 4, 2022) — Pacific Clinics and Solano County Behavioral Health are pleased to announce the expansion of their free Mobile Crisis Response Program into the cities of Vacaville, Rio Vista, Dixon and unincorporated parts of Solano County. The program’s mission is to de-escalate crisis situations, link people to necessary services and support the care coordination with appropriate agencies. Those seeking to access these services can call 911- calls are handled by trained police department emergency dispatch. This service is available from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

VACAVILLE, Calif. – Upon the expiration of Governor Newsom’s temporary masking mandate on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, the City of Vacaville will be re-opening City Facilities to walk-in business.
