Young coyotes face Southside in football tonight

Uvalde’s Coyotes and the Southside Cardinals will play tonight in sub-varsity football competition at Southside. Kick-off time for the freshman game is scheduled for 5 p.m., while the junior varsity teams are set to begin play at 6:30 p.m. Under the original schedule, the Coyotes were slated to play the Hondo Owls tonight at Hondo, while Uvalde and Hondo were to play in junior varsity games in the Honey Bowl. But all high school sub-varsity games and junior high games for the Owls were cancelled.
