A new law in Minnesota that took effect July 1 allows for the selling of some THC products which includes edibles and beverages. Some area cities have imposed or are considering imposing a moratorium on the selling of these edibles and beverages. St. Cloud lawyer Mike Bryant from Bradshaw & Bryant joined me on WJON. Foley Captures VFW State Baseball Championship

The Foley VFW earned the state championship with a win over their section rivals the Cold Spring VFW, backed by seven timely hits and solid defense. Righty Derek Dahmen started on the mound for Foley, he threw five innings to earn the win. He gave up six hits, two runs, five walks and he recorded two strikeouts. Lefty Trey Emmerich threw two innings in relief to earn the save, he gave up one hit, two walks and he recorded four strikeouts.

Guytano and Michael Shynes Play Summertime By George! Wednesday

(KNSI) — The weekly Summertime by George concert series continues Wednesday evening at Eastman Park with two big names. Local synth-based pop group Guytano takes the stage at 5:00. With millions of streams on Spotify, their music has also been used on the Discovery Channel, MTV’s The Real World, Teen Mom 2, and NASCAR. The group met while they were in middle school in Sartell. They are now based out of Minneapolis.

Recount in St. Cloud City Council Race

(KNSI) – A race decided by three votes for St. Cloud City Council will require a recount. Three candidates filed for office in Ward 2. Only two can advance to the general election. The unofficial results from Tuesday’s primary show Karen A. Larson getting 638 votes, followed by Sandra Brakstad with 432 and Seal Dwyer with 429. Stearns County election officials say Dwyer requested a recount on Wednesday. The vote will be canvassed this week.

Work Wrapping Up on Highway 10 Northwest of Sauk Rapids

(KNSI) — The Minnesota Department of Transportation says all lanes are now open on Highway 10 through Benton County. Crews are wrapping up their work after replacing a box bridge under both directions of Highway 10 northwest of Sauk Rapids. Drivers can still expect workers to be out on the roadway as they remove temporary crossovers, install guard rails and high-tension median cable barriers, and establish turf.
