OU softball: Sooners sign Conference USA Pitcher of the Year, North Texas transfer Hope Trautwein

Oklahoma announced the signing of North Texas graduate transfer Hope Trautwein on Friday. Trautwein was the 2020 and 2021 Conference USA Pitcher of the Year. The Pflugerville, Texas, native joins the Sooners with one year of eligibility remaining. Trautwein leaves UNT as the program's career leader in ERA at 2.05, wins at 61, opponent batting average at .197 and strikeouts per seven innings at 8.11. The right hander was also a first team NFCA All-South Region selection last season.

Sooners score again in the portal, land LSU transfer RB Tre Bradford

If there’s one team that has significantly bolstered their national title odds via the transfer portal this offseason, it’s Oklahoma. The Sooners picked up a trio of high-ceiling Tennessee transfers in running back Eric Gray, offensive lineman Wanya Morris and defensive back Key Lawrence. They snagged erstwhile Arkansas wide receiver Mike Woods, one of the most dangerous deep threats in the Power 5. Now, they’ve picked up yet another immensely talented SEC castaway in running back Tre Bradford, who entered the transfer portal on June 2 after one season at LSU.
