Wildcat formation: Tuscaloosa County High School holds homecoming parade, pep rally and bonfire

Despite the threat of rain, Tuscaloosa County High School held its homecoming parade, pep rally and bonfire Thursday night in Northport. This year's homecoming festivities, which featured the TCHS band, cheerleaders, athletes and students were held along the streets of the school on Wildcat Drive, with fans lining up to cheer and watch. Construction on Main Avenue in downtown Northport led to moving the parade to the school's campus for this season. The Wildcats' homecoming opponent Friday night was Vestavia Hills.

Taylor, Southside steamroll Hale County

Southside completed its sweep over Hale County schools in impressive fashion. Running back Sam Taylor scored two touchdowns as the Panthers smacked Hale County 42-13 on Friday night at Memorial Stadium. The Panthers (3-1, 2-1) won a crucial Region 3, Class 3A game. Southside beat Greensboro 55-23 two weeks ago.

Patrician Academy Takes Out Tuscaloosa Academy 34-12

On a beautiful senior night, the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights hosted the Patrician Academy Saints. After senior players and their families were announced, kickoff was underway. Patrician started with the ball. After a run play to #5, QB #4 found himself at second down and two yards to go. #4 then threw an interception to Wilson King. King, playing both ways is also the Knights quarterback.
