Bill Haisten: Braylin Presley’s playmaking transforms Stillwater-Bixby to a blowout

BIXBY — This was No. 1-ranked Bixby vs. No. 2 Stillwater, resulting in pregame expectations that we might see something dramatic on Lee Snider Field. It probably wouldn’t be anything as unforgettably fantastic as the 2019 Bixby-Stillwater Class 6AII championship classic — a 40-36 Spartan triumph in what may have been the best championship game I’ve ever attended at any level of football.

TU at No. 9 Ohio State: Opportunity awaits for the Hurricane

For Saturday’s game at ninth-ranked Ohio State, the University of Tulsa doesn’t have much to lose. The Hurricane is a four-touchdown underdog going up against a top-10 team on the road, in front of 100,000 fans rooting for its demise. Aside from sustaining significant injuries that could jeopardize the rest of the season, TU would have minimal shame in losing by a large margin and leaving with a $1.1 million check.

Betting the Buckeyes: Tulsa

The Buckeyes suffered their first loss at home since the 2018 season in an upset to the Ducks who were two-touchdown underdogs. In a marquee game at home in Week 2 of the season, the Scarlet and Gray couldn't get the job done once again and a number of issues were exposed in the defeat.
