Tucson foothills shopping center sells for $172M

The upscale shopping center at the base of the Catalina Foothills has been sold to local investors. La Encantada, at Skyline Drive and Campbell Avenue, was bought by Ft. Lowell View Delaware LLC, HSL La Encantada Investors Delaware LLC, Iridius La Encantada TIC LLC and La Encantada Investors LLC for $172 million, records from the Pima County Recorder’s Office show.

Rio Nuevo Shares Sunshine Mile Overlay Approval & Announces the Solicitation of Private Developers for Two Full Blocks

At its September 20th meeting, Rio Nuevo shared the good news that the Sunshine Mile Overlay has been unanimously approved by the City of Tucson Mayor & Council. A few short days thereafter the Rio Nuevo Board instructed its attorneys to issue the solicitations necessary to identify one or more developers for the Solot Plaza Block and The Freidman Working with the City and the RTA, Rio Nuevo has saved approximately 50 properties threatened by the Broadway widening and will now work with private developers to repurpose these properties. When finalized the solicitations will be posted to the Rio Nuevo website.
