Commission denies land variance request

Following the lead of the Brookfield trustees, Trumbull County Planning Commission has denied a variance request for the developers of a gas station and convenience store on South Irvine Avenue/Route 62 in Masury. Warren Family Mission in need of truck after fire on SR 82

The Warren Family Mission is thanking God no one was hurt when one of the non-profit's pick-up trucks caught on fire, but now they are asking the public for help. Two people were inside the truck, driving on State Route 82, when the truck caught on fire due to a gas leak. Everyone was able to get out safely, but the truck is a total loss.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE | Pavement repairs in Mahoning; guardrail replacement in Trumbull

The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Mahoning and Trumbull counties this weekend and next week. All work is weather permitting. Interstate 76/80 pavement repairs, Austintown Township: Beginning at 7 p.m. tonight, the ramp from the Ohio Turnpike to Interstate 80 eastbound will be closed through 11 a.m. Sunday. The detour will be Mahoning Avenue to state Route 46 to state Route 11 northbound to Interstate 80.
