Harmony Montgomery case: Missing N.H. girl’s disappearance now being investigated as murder

MANCHESTER, N.H. (TCD) -- The search for a missing 5-year-old girl who has not been seen since 2019 has reportedly been turned into a murder investigation. On Thursday, Aug. 11, New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella announced in a press release that Harmony Montgomery went missing sometime between Nov. 28 and Dec. 10, 2019, and was likely killed in early December 2019. Her remains have not been found, but Formella said "multiple sources of investigative information, including biological evidence, lead to this conclusion."

3 Georgia handymen accused of swindling 90-year-old woman out of $118,000

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. (TCD) -- Three handymen stand accused of swindling a 90-year-old woman out of her life savings. According to WAGA-TV, the elderly woman hired Robert Criswell, 39, Kyle Dover, 28, and Hunter Hammitt, 23, for tree work and hanging shutters on her property. The men allegedly defrauded the woman out of $118,000 when she wrote them as many as 33 checks for work to be done.

Cleaner allegedly kills co-worker at Michigan GM plant during altercation

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (TCD) -- A 48-year-old man was arrested this week after he allegedly killed a co-worker while working at a GM plant in the off hours. In the early hours of Thursday, Aug. 11, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there was an "altercation between co-workers" at the General Motors Orion plant in which one person died and another was taken into custody. The Sheriff’s Office said there was "no active danger to the community or plant."

75-year-old man arrested 40 years after allegedly sexually assaulting, stabbing teen 59 times

SAN JOSE, Calif. (TCD) -- A 75-year-old man was taken into custody in Hawaii for his alleged role in the stabbing death of a 15-year-old girl in 1982. On Tuesday, Aug. 9, the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office announced Gary Ramirez was charged with murder, rape, assault with a deadly weapon, and kidnapping in connection with the death of Karen Stitt.

Florida preschool teacher arrested after allegedly punching child in the head

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (TCD) -- A 32-year-old preschool teacher at Kindercare Learning Center was arrested after allegedly yelling and punching a child while at work. According to a news release from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, on Aug. 10, deputies responded to Kindercare Learning Center on the 1900 block of Main Street in Dunedin to a report of child abuse. Authorities reportedly learned that a witness overheard screaming from the preschool playground.

OnlyFans and social media model arrested and charged in boyfriend's death

LAUPAHOEHOE, Hawaii (TCD) -- An OnlyFans and social media model from Austin, Texas, was arrested in Hawaii after allegedly fatally stabbing her boyfriend in Miami, Florida. According to the Hawai'i Police Department, 26-year-old Courtney Clenney was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at approximately 9:30 a.m. An arrest warrant was issued for her for second-degree murder with a deadly weapon out of Miami-Dade County, Florida, police said. She was reportedly taken into custody by the United States Marshals Service.

Texas dad and former FBI most wanted fugitive convicted of killing 2 daughters 14 years ago

DALLAS (TCD) -- A 65-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after a jury found him guilty of killing his two teenage daughters in 2008. On Tuesday, Aug. 9, the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office announced Yaser Said was convicted of capital murder for the deaths of 18-year-old Amina Said and 17-year-old Sarah Said. The jury reportedly deliberated for three hours before reaching the verdict.

3 people arrested after remains of missing Louisiana man are found in shallow grave

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (TCD) -- Two men and a woman were arrested this week after investigators discovered a missing man’s remains. In July, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help in locating Tywonne "Day-Day" Lamonte Neal. He was reportedly last seen getting into a gray sedan and had not been seen or heard from since July 17. The Sheriff’s Office said detectives "cannot rule out foul play."

Homicide investigation underway after body found in Connecticut gazebo

ENFIELD, Conn. (TCD) -- A homicide investigation is underway after the body of a 55-year-old man was discovered in a gazebo. According to a news release from the Enfield Police Department, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Aug. 10, officers responded to the Town Green located at 820 Enfield St., where authorities found the deceased man. Police said they’re working with the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad on the homicide investigation.

N.H. school bus driver accused of stalking and harassing 8-year-old boy

CONCORD, N.H. (TCD) -- A 39-year-old school bus driver has been charged for reportedly stalking and harassing an 8-year-old boy. According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Hampshire, Michael Chick, a school bus driver for Greenland Central School in Greenland, New Hampshire, allegedly threatened a child from the school. Chick also reportedly threatened the child’s family and even traveled from Maine to New Hampshire to make threats.

Former California church employee arrested for child pornography

WEST COVINA, Calif. (TCD) -- A 33-year-old former church employee was arrested following a several months-long child sexual exploitation investigation. According to a news release from the West Covina Police Department, on Aug. 3, Andrew Williams was arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material/child pornography. The investigation was reportedly conducted by several agencies, including the U.S. Marshals Service and the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Mom and sons, ages 4 and 1, found fatally shot inside New Hampshire home

NORTHFIELD, N.H. (TCD) -- A young mom and her two children were found fatally shot inside a home in what officials are calling "three suspicious deaths." According to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, on Aug. 3 at 11:33 a.m., police responded to a call at 56 Wethersfield Drive in Northfield and found three deceased individuals inside. They were identified as 25-year-old Kassandra Sweeney, 4-year-old Benjamin Sweeney, and 1-year-old Mason Sweeney.
