Paso Robles Respond to Multiple Riverbed Fires

PASO ROBLES — Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to multiple fire within the Salinas Riverbed in the city on Saturday, July 2. The first fire was reported at 8:58 a.m. near the wastewater treatment plant off Sulfur Springs Road. Upon arrival of the first unit, a second fire was discovered north of that location adjacent to Highway 101.

California Gunowners Uneasy After DOJ Data Breach

CALIFORNIA — Gun owners across California are feeling concerned after a data breach of the Firearms Dashboard Portal released viable personal information. On June 27, the Firearms Dashboard Portal was breached, exposing the personal information of individuals who were granted or denied a concealed and carry weapons (CCW) permit between 2011 and 2021. Information exposed included names, date of birth, gender, race, driver’s license number, addresses, and criminal history.

Garden Education Impacts over 11,000 Central Coast Youth

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — Local nonprofit One Cool Earth (OCE) partnered with 23 public schools on the Central Coast during the 2021/22 school year. The Word Never Heard

I hated it when the word “Farmer” was taken out of the name “Future Farmers of America.” The organization is still known as the FFA, but the “F” word (Farmer) was eliminated.
