Randy Rogers Band, Gary Allan to headline Lewisville’s Western Days festival

The city of Lewisville announced Friday that two prominent country music artists will headline the city’s annual Western Days festival in September. Randy Rogers Band will be the featured act on Sept. 23, the first night of the two-day festival. The second night’s headliner, Gary Allan, will close out the family-friendly event in Old Town Lewisville. Both Allan and Randy Rogers Band headlined the Western Days festival in 2018.

Flower Mound store celebrating grand opening of Sephora at Kohl’s

On Wednesday, the Kohl’s store in Flower Mound will celebrate the grand opening of its new Sephora at Kohl’s experience. Sephora at Kohl’s features a 2,500-square-foot, fully immersive beauty experience that mimics the look and feel of a freestanding Sephora, according to a company news release. Sephora-trained Beauty Advisors offer personalized beauty consultations and assistance with finding products, while testing and discovery zones serve up a rotating assortment of new, emerging or trending products. Within all Sephora at Kohl’s locations, shoppers will find a carefully curated assortment of prestige makeup, skincare, hair and fragrance brands including coveted beauty brands such as Rare Beauty, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, Kiehl’s, Giorgio Armani, Olaplex, Clinique and Sephora Collection, as well as innovations in clean beauty and self-care. In addition, six new prestige beauty brands (Murad, Clarins, Jack Black, Living Proof, Versace and Voluspa) were added to the Sephora at Kohl’s assortment this spring.

Michael Lee Leonard, 62, of Argyle, Texas was greeted by Jesus in heaven in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Michael was born November 30, 1959, to parents Arliss and Linda (Ray) Leonard in El Paso, Texas. He was a very special man to many, he was strong, brave, kind, loving and generous to all. Michael was loved by everyone who met him, and he made a huge impact on many lives, but his testimony of faith is what made him exceptional. Thankfully, he was not seriously hurt, but the incident underscored the continuing concerns about the use of golf carts by underage drivers in Lantana.

On Monday, July 4th at 10 a.m. we will celebrate by having our annual 4th of July parade. Come join us by decorating your car, golf cart, tractor, motorcycle, horse, or anything that moves and be a part of this fun event. Parade lineup will be at 9:30 at Copper Canyon Town Hall and will be led by the ESD #1 Fire Department. Immediately following the parade everyone is welcome for hotdogs and drinks at Town Hall. We have activities for the kids including face painting which is always a big hit with little and big kids! This annual event is for everyone so bring the entire family and celebrate our country’s independence and meet your neighbors. A special thanks to Carol Owens and the Woodlands Women Club for organizing and hosting this event for more than 37 years.

Two days later, delegates from the 13 colonies unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence. Thanks to Thomas Jefferson, this historic document still holds the vital key to how our country has stood the test of time.
