Governor Mark Gordon has issued the following statement following the US Supreme Court’s decision in West Virginia v EPA. Wyoming was a party to this lawsuit. Cheyenne Police Issue Warning about Fireworks

We would like to remind everyone that the use of consumer fireworks within City of Cheyenne limits is not allowed on private property. They are also prohibited on public property which includes parks, schools, streets, alleys, and public right-of-ways. Laramie County Clerk: Independent candidate for Laramie County sheriff will be on General Election ballot

The Laramie County Clerk’s office has certified an independent candidate’s petition for nomination for Laramie County sheriff, filed earlier this month by Jeff Barnes. Certification of the petition means Barnes’ name will appear on the Nov. 8 General election ballot, along with the Republican and Democratic nominees chosen by voters in the Primary election.

This past weekend was very busy and a lot of fun. It started on Friday evening at the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet. It is their celebration of the business community, and they had a record attendance of over 700 folks. I was so honored to receive the Person of the Year award. It gave me a chance to make up for the time I forgot to thank my wife in a similar situation over 20 years ago.
