Free Summer Lunch Program in the Park Offered in the City of Temecula

With summer here, it’s time to think about keeping children eating healthy and engaged while school is out. The Temecula Community Services Department’s Human Services Division provides free lunches and enrichment activities to children and teens at the annual Summer Food Service Program. Lunches are served at the Michael ‘Mike’ Naggar Community Park (29119 Margarita Road) every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday beginning June 21, 2022 through August 4, 2022, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, or until meals are gone. Meals are served on a first come, first serve basis. There are no income requirements or registration. Any child 18 years old and younger, or adult with disabilities may come to eat. Meals are not intended for organized programs or private organizations. Parent supervision is required.

Temecula Valley Museum Offers New Exhibit: Cloth As Community: Hmong Textiles in America

The Temecula Valley Museum presents Cloth as Community: Hmong Textiles in America, an exhibit organized and toured by ExhibitsUSA, a national part of Mid-America Arts Alliance. The exhibition was first curated in 1999 by Carl Magnuson, a cultural anthropologist, working with a Hmong refugee community. This beautiful, unique exhibit visually honors the transition from refugee to life in America and will be on display from June 17 through August 7, 2022.

Temecula’s Workforce and Education Development Program Prepares Youth for Future Careers

MON, JUN 20 – JUL 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Future Physician Leaders This seven-week program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to prepare themselves for the medical field. This program includes lectures by local physicians, CPR Certification, shadowing at the Temecula Valley Hospital, MCAT prep, mentoring, and the opportunity to participate in a Community Health Project.

Upcoming Summer Activities for Teens at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library

It’s getting hot out there! Come cool off at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library (30600 Pauba Road) for fun activities all summer long. These events are sponsored by the Friends of the Temecula Libraries for students in grades 7-12. Advanced registration begins two weeks prior to scheduled programs and space is limited. Temecula’s Summer Concert Series is back, live and in-person! This Summer’s Series begins on THU, JUN 16, 2022 and will run through THU, JUL 28, 2022. We have a great line-up of local bands, so please join the City of Temecula Community Services Department on Thursdays at 7:00 pm at the Temecula Amphitheater (30875 Rancho Vista Road) for six outdoor concerts. Temecula Valley Museum Presents a New Exhibit Honoring the City of Temecula’s Founding Family

The Temecula Valley Museum has designed a special exhibit on display in the museum’s Rotunda Gallery to honor the life and legacy of Jimmy and Peg Moore. These two dedicated public servants were instrumental in the creation and evolution of the City of Temecula, having served as President and Secretary of the City Incorporation Committee – a body organized in the mid-1980s to evaluate and fundraise for necessary studies and application process, including garnering support from the citizens.
