After years of pleas, Forsyth County father gets results at intersection where his teen daughter was critically injured

(FORSYTH COUNTY, GA) On August 12, 2019, Scott Ordway experienced a father’s worst nightmare. His daughter, Zoe, a teenager at West Forsyth High School, was on the way to cross country practice when she was in a terrible car accident at the intersection of Bentley and Post Road. Zoe broke her sternum, fractured her pelvis in five places, and had such a significant break in her femur that she had to have a titanium rod placed in her leg. She endured months of painful physical therapy before she was able to walk again. Her cross country career was put on hold for an entire year.

Local woman celebrates 104th birthday

Besides being an extremely rare occurrence, living to be 104 years old is almost incomprehensible to most people. One hundred and four years is a long time. To put that in perspective, when Thelma Brookshire of Ball Ground was born on August 10th, 1918, Woodrow Wilson was president. She was just shy of being three months old on November 11, 1918, when World War I ended at 11a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month.

An Atlanta man has been indicted on charges related to a string of thefts from vehicles in Cherokee County, in which authorities say multiple cars and guns were stolen. A Woodstock man has been charged with attempted murder by a Cherokee County grand jury after authorities say he stabbed his aunt and uncle. Large sum of cash stolen from Roswell vehicle

ROSWELL, Ga. –– A total of $9,500 in cash was stolen out of a Roswell man’s car while it was parked July 25 at Publix on Rucker Road. The victim told police he had just left Truist Bank, parked his car at Publix and went inside to shop. When he came back to his car, he saw his driver’s door lock had been broken and $9,500 cash was missing from his center console.
