Missing St. Petersburg mother and child found

Stacie Montenegro, a 16-year-old girl, and her 1-month-old daughter have been found safe, St. Petersburg police said via Twitter on Saturday. The mother and daughter were last seen on Sept. 4, near the Williams Park area. Police announced Montenegro and her daughter’s disappearance on Thursday. Authorities were “extremely concerned for her and her baby’s safety” but their disappearance was not believed to be suspicious, a police spokesperson previously said.

Woman Hides in Dryer After Getting Caught By Ex-Boyfriend’s Wife in The Villages

A 38-year-old woman was arrested after violating a no contact order when she visited her ex-boyfriend’s home in The Villages. Morgan Bourell, a former resident of The Villages, showed up to her ex-boyfriend’s house in the Historic Side of The Villages on Monday. But, when the ex-boyfriend’s wife came home, Bourell hid in the dryer. According to Villages-News, a fight broke out after the wife discovered Bourell in the home. Bourell escaped, but was later caught by police.

Missing Tampa woman’s body found 10 miles from her torched car in South Carolina

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Authorities have revealed new information surrounding the disappearance and death of a college student from Tampa that was found dead in South Carolina. WBTW reports that an incident report from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office said 21-year-old Sheridan Wahl’s car was found torched and abandoned in a ditch in Scranton, S.C. on Sunday, two days before her body was found 10 miles away, behind the Hannah-Salem Fire Department.

State Attorney’s Office clears Tampa officers in three separate shootings

TAMPA — The Hillsborough State Attorney’s Office has cleared three Tampa police officers who opened fire on suspects in separate shootings, one of them deadly. Officers in each case were in imminent fear for their safety or the safety of the public and so were legally justified in firing their service weapons, Hillsborough State Attorney Andrew Warren’s office said in a news release Friday.
