13-year-old Tallahassee girl missing since June 3

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A 13-year-old girl from Tallahassee has been missing since June 3, according to the grandmother and legal guardian of the girl. Nevaeh Kenyon went for a walk in the Northshire neighborhood and never returned, the guardian says. She was last seen at 10:30 a.m. on June 3 on Wessex Court, according to a flyer posted on Facebook. The grandmother tells WCTV she believes she is a runaway.

Alva Striplin resigns from Leon County Children’s Services Council

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Leon County School Board member Alva Striplin has resigned from her position on the Children’s Services Council. Striplin says she resigned to avoid a conflict of interest since the group is looking to her husband’s law firm for legal counsel. Striplin made the announcement that she was stepping down from the council at a school board meeting on Tuesday, June 15.
