Leofric to Relocate to Darby Dan Farm for 2022

Leofric , a grade 1-winning son of perennial leading sire and sire of sires Candy Ride , is being relocated from Rockridge Stud in New York to Darby Dan Farm near Lexington for the upcoming breeding season, Darby Dan Farm announced Nov. 21. His 2022 fee has been set at $7,500, stands and nurses.

Engage to Stud at Northview Stallion Station

Multiple graded stakes-winning sprinter Engage has been retired to Northview Stallion Station in Chesapeake City, Md., for the 2022 season. He will stand for $5,000. A son of champion sire Into Mischief , Engage began his career with trainer Chad Brown before joining Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen. During his 4-year-old season in 2019, he notched his signature victory in the Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix Stakes (G2) at Keeneland, defeating Whitmore , Lexitonian , Hog Creek Hustle , and Promises Fulfilled . The win earned a Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) berth that fall, where he finished fourth behind Mitole at Santa Anita Park.

Sunday tab: Flightline continues 'super works' toward Malibu

Flashy allowance winner Flightline continued his preparations toward a Grade 1 target with another strong move Sunday. The 3-year-old Tapit colt went four furlongs handily at Santa Anita in 46.6 seconds, fastest of 22 works at the distance. That follows another bullet four-furlong work six days prior in 47.2 seconds.
