THURSDAY COUNTY DPH COVID UPDATE SHOWS CONTINUES UPWARD TREND

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County has been increasing each day so far this week. Beginning with 412 on Monday, 470 active cases were noted in Thursday’s semi-weekly update from the County Division of Public Health. That’s the most since 514 were recorded on January 29th. 40 new cases were confirmed through positive test results since Wednesday balanced against 18 recoveries for the 22 case gain in active cases, and 15,210 cases in all have been recorded during the pandemic in Sheboygan County. In the last day, 17% of tests were positive. That compares with a 7-day average of 11.98%, and there’s a 7-day case average of 180.34 cases per 100,000 persons. Sheboygan County is currently experiencing a “high” level of transmission.
