WCSO, Volunteers Holiday Shop for Over 90 Kiddos

The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) and 40 volunteers go holiday shopping for families in need. Lieutenant Ryan Bevard has told Bartlesville Radio in recent weeks that the WCSO would go gift shopping for 96 children this Christmas. Lt. Bevard said they are appreciative of everyone that gives to WCSO's holiday programs. He said it is great to see the public help them help others in need.

Wilcox County Sheriff Deputy killed in shooting

A retired Wilcox County Sheriff Deputy was killed during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Yellow Bluff. According to Fourth Judicial District Attorney Michael Jackson, retired deputy Madison Nicholson was killed. Chief Deputy Trenton Gulley was injured during the shooting in Wilcox County. Officials Investigate Death in Southwest Washington Co.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) investigates a missing person death. According to WCSO Undersheriff Jon Copeland, deputies received a call for service at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Copeland says the call was regarding a suspicious vehicle in the area of the 391000 Block of North 3945 Road, in southwestern Washington County. He says deputies located an unoccupied vehicle and upon checking the license plate, learned the vehicle had been associated with a missing person.

Wayne County police shooting under investigation

WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The Indiana State Police is looking into a Wayne County police shooting, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO). Around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to the 500 block of East South Street in Centerville, Indiana for a report of a woman threatening suicide.

Arrests Made In ARCO Station Robbery

The WCSO was joined by other local law enforcement agencies in searching for the suspects, who ran from the store on NW Cornell Road on foot. Authorities say, with the help of a K-9, deputies were able to find two of the four suspects. Both were arrested and charged with robbery. The sheriff’s office said, due to their ages the juveniles will not be publicly identified. Both suspects were taken to the Donald E. Long Detention Center in Portland.
