Flint has been taken into custody in Roanoke ,Virginia without incident. We would like to thank the community for their assistance along with the Blacksburg Rescue Squad, Virginia Tech Police Department, Virginia Tech Rescue Squad, Christiansburg Police Department, Virginia State Police, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the New River Valley 911 Center, the FBI and the US Marshals Service who took Mr. Flint into custody. Unger’s Win Not Enough as Blue Devils Fall at No. 10 Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Duke wrestling program (6-8, 0-3 ACC) dropped a 42-3 decision to No. 10 Virginia Tech (7-3, 2-1 ACC) on Friday night at Cassell Coliseum. The Hokies built an early lead behind several bonus points in the first three contested matches, but the Blue Devils got a standout showing from junior Wade Unger against No. 21 Connor Brady. Virginia Tech Football adds 27 players to 2022 roster

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech Football head coach Brent Pry welcomed three more players to the program on National Signing Day. These three additions give the Hokies a total of 23 signees in Pry's initial recruiting class at Tech after the team landed 20 new student-athletes during December's early signing period. Tech also signed four mid-year transfers, bringing the total of new scholarship players entering the program in 2022 up to a total of 27 student-athletes.

From President Tim Sands: Changes in vaccine mandate, plans for successful semester

I’d like to provide a brief update regarding management of COVID-19 in our university community. Last week, Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares issued a legal opinion concerning vaccine requirements that reverses the preceding attorney general’s opinion upon which our vaccine policy was based. Consequently, Virginia Tech will no longer require students to be vaccinated as a condition of enrollment or in-person instruction, effective immediately. Federal regulations may still require students who work in specific settings to be vaccinated, receive the booster when eligible, and upload their health information.
