Madison Square Garden to Retain Las Vegas Sphere, Tao Group

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (NYSE:MSGE) updated investors on previously announced spin-off plans, and there are Las Vegas implications. The company announced late Tuesday it’s evaluating a potential transaction that would separate its live entertainment while retaining the MSG Sphere, MSG Networks, and Tao Group Hospitality businesses. In initially announcing the spin-off plans in August, Madison Square Garden Entertainment said it was mulling separating the live entertainment and network units from the Sphere and Tao.

Apollo Doling Out $1.5K Bonuses to Venetian Employees

Employees at the Venetian Las Vegas will have some extra jingle in their pockets this holiday season. Operator Apollo Global Management is distributing $1,500 bonuses. In total, the private equity firm that operates the iconic Strip venue is doling out $11 million to 7,000 full-time and flex-time workers. Those staffers are receiving the same amount regardless of role or for how long they’ve worked at the Venetian.

Hard Rock Shares New Renderings For Redesign of Mirage on Vegas Strip

Hard Rock International has shared new renderings of the guitar-shaped hotel it proposes to build along the Las Vegas Strip. The 36-story curiosity, currently scheduled to debut in 2025, is a sight that will place all adjacent Strip resorts in its shadow. The drawings were presented to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, which must approve the plans, during a meeting on Wednesday. The board is expected to issue its approval on Dec. 16.
