FSIS Issues Public Health Alert for Ineligible Siluriformes Products Imported from Korea

USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for Siluriformes products imported by Grand BK Corporation, a Carlstadt, N.J. firm. The products were imported from Korea, a country ineligible to export Siluriformes products to the United States. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase.

The count is taken every five years, and accounts for all farms and ranches that produce more than $1,000 worth of products, including fruit, vegetables, some food animals and more.

Weekly Cotton Market Review – USDA

Spot quotations averaged over 17 cents lower than the previous week, according to the USDA, Agricultural Marketing Service’s Cotton and Tobacco Program. Quotations for the base quality of cotton (color 41, leaf 4, staple 34, mike 35-36 and 43-49, strength 27.0-28.9, and uniformity 81.0-81.9) in the seven designated markets averaged 121.80 cents per pound for the week ending Thursday, June 23, 2022.

Free Summer Meals For Kids In Amherst

Summer Eats, a free-of-charge program that provides free meals to all kids and teens, ages 18 and under, will be available in locations all across Massachusetts during the summer months. The Amherst location is Colonial Village, 51 Belchertown Road. Meals at this location will be provided Monday through Friday at dinnertime beginning roughly at 5:20. The program begins on Monday June 28 will continue through August 19.
