Woman rushed to hospital after shooting in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A woman was shot in the California neighborhood Tuesday night, Louisville Metro Police Department Officer Beth Ruoff said. Officers responded to the shooting call around 10:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Howard Street. Ruoff said they found a woman with a gunshot wound and rushed her to University Hospital, though her injury was not serious.

Warsaw Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

A Warsaw man was injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred Tuesday evening in Benton County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 1982 Honda CM450, driven by 34-year-old Brian L. Birdsong of Warsaw, was on Missouri Route MM at Quail Ridge Road at 6:30 p.m., when he ran off the right side of the road and overturned, ejecting the driver.

'Our hospitals are stressed': COVID-19 levels jump to severe in Bexar County

The COVID-19 risk level moved from moderate to severe in Bexar County as the highly contagious delta variant continues to spread within the city. City officials continue urging residents to masks up and get vaccinated if they haven't already. Mayor Ron Nirenberg reports the latest hospitalization count was 920 as of Tuesday, Auggust 3, with 260 patients in intensive care and 132 on ventilators. One week ago, it was 620 patients. Of those in the hospitals, "about 88 percent are unvaccinated," the mayor notes.

Speeding driver and passenger hospitalized following rear-end crash

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The driver of a speeding Beemer is in trouble after a crash on Highway 90 in San Antonio. The BMW was in the Westbound lane at around 8 P.M. Shooting in Portland under investigation

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police Department officers are investigating a shooting in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood that happened Monday evening. Calls about the shooting in the 2100 block of Rowan Street came at 6:45 p.m., LMPD Officer Beth Ruoff said. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and learned that the shooting had actually taken place a few blocks away on North 22nd Street.

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. — A Versailles man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Anchorage Road, Saturday, July 29. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Tyler Stewart was driving a 2007 Yamaha R1 when the vehicle travelled off the south edge of the roadway, struck a barbed wire fence and overturned, ejecting Stewart.
