Tow-truck driver shot in the head in Bronx, cops say

A Bronx tow-truck driver is fighting for his life after being shot in the head Sunday morning, cops said. The 35-year-old victim was at Bruckner Boulevard and 141st Street when he was struck by a bullet around 1 a.m., cops said. The motive for the shooting is unclear. Photographs of the crime scene show police officers shining flashlights into the cab of the red tow truck, which had a minivan on its tow hook. It wasn’t immediately clear how many shots were fired, but multiple yellow evidence markers were placed on the street. The man was taken to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition, cops said.
