Former Eagles star Terrell Owens scores TKO victory versus heckler

When in his prime, it was commonplace to see former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Terrell Owens in the headlines… for both good reasons and bad. These days, he’s a much more reserved and quieter version of the man that gave birth to the phrase “getcha popcorn ready”. He didn’t even attend his Hall of Fame induction, electing instead to host his own ceremony at his alma mater, the University of Tennesee at Chattanooga. Still, every so often, he still pops up occasionally. Unfortunately, this time, he’s again in the news, and we regret to inform you that the light is unflattering.

UFC 282 poster released with new main event between Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev

Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev have the chance to end 2022 as the UFC light heavyweight champion, although it wasn’t supposed to be that way. After Jiri Prochazka relinquished the title due to an injury — which forced him out of the UFC 282 main event with Glover Teixeira, Blachowicz and Ankalaev will meet for the vacant championship in the new headliner of the UFC’s final pay-per-view event of the year, which takes place Dec. 10 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Anthony Smith responds to Conor McGregor's rant over USADA criticism, wonders why 'different rules apply to him'

Anthony Smith believes Conor McGregor’s response to his criticism only validated the point he was trying to make. Smith recently questioned McGregor’s physique, which has increased dramatically in size since breaking his leg in a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier in their lightweight trilogy July 2021. McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) has not been tested by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency in 2022 and isn’t currently in the program, which Smith finds sketchy. Smith’s implication that McGregor could be using performance-enhancing drugs enraged the former UFC dual champion, who fired back at Smith.

Big opportunity for Berinchyk on Fury undercard

Four days go until it is Tyson Fury time again, when the WBC heavyweight champion will rock up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to take on his old rival Derek Chisora. There is heavyweight action at the double, because the WBA regular champion, the hulking Daniel Dubois, will be making a first defense of his title against the South Africa's Kevin Lerena. BT Sport Box Office will show Fury-Chisora live on Saturday December 3rd. Live coverage starts from 7pm British time, with ring walks taking place at 9pm. The supporting cast to the heavyweights is now in place and, in what is a special attraction, there is a cracking fight for the EBU lightweight title between the vastly experienced French champion Yvan Mendy (47-5-1, 22 KOs) and challenger Denys Berinchyk (19-2 including the World Series of Boxing) from Ukraine.
