Mobvoi recently teased the arrival of the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS as an upgrade to last year's TicWatch Pro 3. After some previews on its social media channels, the smartwatch is now finally official. In typical Mobvoi fashion, the company has only made small changes to this year's product, keeping a lot from the previous model and delivering a few improvements to the new device.
Although it has been on the smartwatch market for quite a while now, Mobvoi’s name really peaked last year when it launched what was then the first and only smartwatch that used Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Wear 4100. Although it dashed hopes that the company would immediately announce Wear OS 3 upgrades for its most recent models, it still might be one of the first on that track next year. To further widen its reach, it is launching the new TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS, which, despite being a mouthful, is confusingly similar to the TicWatch Pro 3.
When it comes to the best fitness trackers or fitness-themed smartwatches, we'll test each watch for a couple of weeks to get a clear sense of how they work. But then we'll move on to the following review, and that watch will get shoved in a bin with other tech or shipped back to the company. Even if a watch or its fitness app impresses us, that doesn't always mean we'll keep using it.

The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is here. It’s officially official as promised last week. Mobvoi said its upcoming watches will get Wear OS and true enough, the new model runs on Google’s own wearable platform. We’re not sure though if it’s Wear OS 3 already. The new TicWatch smartwatch runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 and the Mobvoi dual processor system so you know it is powerful despite the small form factor. Its display measures 1.4-inches and offers 454 x 454 pixel resolution, 326ppi, and Full Color Always On Display AMOLED + FSTN.

Just last month, YouTube Music’s smartwatch app was only available on Galaxy Watch 4 exclusively which was pretty limiting considering only a few people have the latest Samsung smartwatch. A few weeks later it became available for Wear OS 2 devices that were powered by Snapdragon Wear 4100. The promise was that older smartwatches will also be getting the music streaming app and now finally, it’s indeed available for those smartwatches running on the Wear 3100 chipset and the latest version of Wear OS 2.
Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS announced with updated secondary display and "Dual Processor System"
It's been about a year since Mobvoi released the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS and the company is introducing an incremental update to the watch. The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is almost identical to the TicWatch Pro 3, with an new secondary display that produces a splash of color using the backlight. The design of the watch body and the included silicone strap have also been updated.
When it comes to current Wear OS smartwatches, picking which one to buy can be tricky unless the product's name is Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. Because Google and Samsung have partnered up to develop a new version of the wearable platform, currently, only Samsung has access to Wear OS 3. But, it doesn't mean it's the only watch worth considering. In fact, I returned my Galaxy Watch 4 for many reasons, one being that I liked my TicWatch Pro 3 so much. Still, the new TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra has me changing devices once again.

The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra is now official and is without a doubt the most impressive (on paper) from Mobvoi to date. After finding success with last year’s TicWatch Pro 3 and the Snapdragon Wear 4100, this new Ultra model has several key upgrades that’ll make it an addition to the short list of Wear OS watches to consider buying.
Mobvoi has launched an update to its flagship smartwatch – and the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra has finally landed. Hot-on-the-heels of the launch of the TicWatch Pro X in China, the Pro 3 Ultra is an iterative update in terms of hardware, but adds some interesting new health features. First...
Mobvoi on Wednesday unveiled the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, the latest entrant in the company’s ever-growing smartwatch portfolio. The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra is an upgraded version of the TicWatch Pro 3 that came out last year. Before you ask, no, the new smartwatch doesn’t run the latest and greatest Wear OS 3. Instead, you get the same old Wear OS 2, which is a shame.
