No community theater season 2021-22

Hutchinson Theatre Company announced last week that it is pausing productions for the 2021-22 season, with the exception of YoungStars in summer 2022. The theater company will use the break to recover, reevaluate, review and reload its current infrastructure. As a result, the fall 2021 production of "Judge Jackie: Disorder in the Court" is canceled.

Rare cancer funding is being raised by Ruth Stage, Inc. to benefit the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Helping to raise funds for a grossly underfunded disease is something you rarely see from a theater company. Yet, that is exactly what Ruth Stage, Inc., a nonprofit theater company, is doing with an expected portion of its ticket sales from the Off-Broadway run of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF).

The National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), dependent on the Ministry of Culture, threatened the group of workers that is leading the mobilizations against the requirements of the latest public job offer with a lawsuit calling for an illegal strike. A series of stoppages are scheduled to begin this Thursday, September 23 at the premiere of Antony and Cleopatra, by Shakespeare, a production of the National Classical Theater Company starring Ana Belén and Lluís Homar.

Rockford Theater Is Celebrating The Return Of Its Live Performances

A Rockford theater is bouncing back from the pandemic by once again allowing indoor performances, starting next month. A reopening celebration is taking place this month. Richard Raether is the producing artistic director at Artists’ Ensemble Theater. He said it took some time to reopen because the venue wanted to ensure all things were done based on the COVID-19 protocols for the actors’ union.
