Larry G. Jennings 1935 – 2021

Larry G. Jennings , 86, Corydon, IA, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at a Des Moines, Iowa hospital. He was born August 21, 1935 in Ridgeway, MO the son of Frank Orville and Belva Berniece (Williams) Jennings. He grew up in Bethany, Missouri with his sister, Darlene and brother, Frank Jr. Larry graduated from Bethany High School in 1954. He started working at the Supply Store (now Hy-Vee) in 1949 while in high school and became a full time employee after graduation. He enlisted in the Army Reserve Unit in Bethany in March 1954 and was honorably discharged in February 1962.

Museum plans movie on the lawn Saturday

To observe the end of summer, the Wayne County Museum will host its first-ever Movie on the Lawn night. The event will take place 7:30 p.m. Saturday at 116 N. William St. Jennifer Kuykendall, executive director of the Wayne County Museum, said movie night will also celebrate the last couple weeks of the museum’s exhibit “Stars, Stages and Screens.”

Funeral services for 86-year old Corydon resident Larry Jennings will be held at 11 am on Saturday at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery of Bethany. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wayne County Museum or White Oak Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
