GOLDEN KNIGHTS RECEIVE POSITIVE NEWS REGARDING CAPTAIN MARK STONE'S INJURY

Following evaluation from team doctors, the Vegas Golden Knights received good news on the status of captain Mark Stone. According to head coach Peter DeBoer, Stone will not require surgery for his lower-body injury, and will be out for the short term. DeBoer didn't give a specific timeline for Stone's return, but he said that he's in between day-to-day and week-to-week.

The Chicago Wolves will open the 2021-22 American Hockey League (AHL) season Saturday night at the Allstate Arena.
