Point Roberts resident and Delta Hockey Academy player Ava Svejkovsky was named to Team USA on October 14 and will compete in the International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 world championship in Sweden next January. She is the daughter of Yogi and April Svejkovsky; her father is the skills coach for the Vancouver Canucks and its farm team.
