Off Duty Hardin County Deputy Dies In ATV Collision

Kentucky State Police Post 4 responded to a fatality of a Hardin County Deputy Sheriff involving an ATV in Hardin County Friday evening. The investigation revealed that 36 year-old Kevin Johnson, of Elizabethtown, was operating an ATV near the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue around 8 p.m., when he lost control of the ATV and ran off the roadway and struck a fence.

Federal Grand Jury Indicts 18 for Roles in Drug Trafficking Organization Operating in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – After a lengthy investigation, 18 individuals have been indicted by a federal grand jury for their roles in a drug trafficking organization (DTO) operating in Huntington. Seventeen of these individuals are charged with conspiracy to distribute a variety of drugs including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, cocaine base (crack), oxycodone, and heroin. Other charges in the indictment include the distribution and possession with intent to distribute various drugs and using a telephone to facilitate a felony drug trafficking offense. The indictment was returned under seal on July 28, 2021 and unsealed today after the arrest of 14 defendants.

Kentucky State Police Post 3, Bowling Green has identified the victim of a death investigation cold case from 2001. On October 9, 2001 KSP Post 3 initiated a death investigation following the discovery of decomposed remains of an individual at the 12 mile marker of I-65 in Simpson County. At the time, the identity of the remains were unknown and no leads were available.

HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) – Eighteen people are facing charges connected to a drug trafficking organization (DTO) in Huntington.
