But after the Pats fell to the Giants, the 1972 Dolphins remained the only perfect team in NFL history by going 14-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs en route to winning Super Bowl VII.

Jim Rome Has to Eat His Words After Crushing the Jets and Giants Before Both Won on Sunday: ‘I’m Going to Go Ahead and Pencil Them in for 0-10’

Anyone who gives sports opinions for a living will be wrong from time to time. Sunday was one of those times for iconic sports talk show host Jim Rome. On the CBS pregame show, Rome destroyed the New York Jets and New York Giants. The LA-native proclaimed that NYC (or at least New Jersey) is no longer the “center of the football world.” And, while he may be right in the grander scheme, Big Blue and Gang Green epically proved Rome wrong with two historic wins on the same day.
