This Blazers-Timberwolves Trade Is Headlined By Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard could be getting fed up with the situation in Portland and this is bad news for the Trail Blazers. It could lead to the NBA All-Star point guard requesting a trade out of town. If this happens, the Blazers might have no choice but to grant his request and take advantage of the massive return they would get.

There are countless Where Were You When moments in the NBA. Michael Jordan’s shrug, LeBron James’ block, Kobe Bryant’s 81 points, Chris Andersen missing 748735 dunks during the 2005 Slam Dunk Contest, etc. But for the fans of the New York Knicks and the Denver Nuggets, one of the most memorable moments was the infamous brawl involving Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith, Nate Robinson, Jared Jeffries, and a bunch of other guys.

Michael Porter Jr.’s honest thoughts on Nuggets contract extension

Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. has seen his fellow draft class teammates sign big contract extensions this off-season. Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Robert Williams have all signed long-term deals to stay with their current team. But the Nuggets young star isn’t worried about that at the moment.

Clippers add Brian Shaw, Wesley Johnson, Jay Larranaga to coaching staff

Tyronn Lue’s coaching staff now is fully, officially staffed, reuniting past teammates and bringing back a former Clipper. In place are Brian Shaw and Jay Larranaga, who will be joining the Clippers as assistant coaches next season, as Wesley Johnson and Cookie Belcher will take on player development roles. Shaun Fein also was promoted to assistant coach from his prior position as a player development coach, according to a news release from the team.

Nikola Jokic Believes The Nuggets Can Win A Championship Next Season: "If Everybody Buys In And Everybody Plays The Right Way, There Is A Chance, Of Course."

Nikola Jokic won the MVP last season, reaffirming that he is a top-tier superstar in the league. Even before that though, he made the Western Conference Finals during the playoffs in the Orlando bubble in 2020. There's no question that Nikola Jokic is an offensive force that can bring a team to victory on any given night, and the way he is able to uplift his teammates and get them easy baskets is pretty amazing.

Jusuf Nurkic is the Trail Blazers X-Factor

As evidenced in their double-overtime Game 5 loss to the Denver Nuggets in the 2021 NBA Playoffs—despite 55 points from Damian Lillard—the Portland Trail Blazers’ success isn’t necessarily tied to that of their star player. Lillard can’t do it alone. Entering the 2021-22 campaign with the team’s core largely still intact from a season ago, the Blazers will need more from their supporting cast to reach the next level. While the team has lofty expectations for Lillard’s backcourt mates CJ McCollum and Norman Powell, the true x-factor for Portland’s success will be the play of their big man, Jusuf Nurkic.

Denver Nuggets: 5 way too early mid-season buyout candidates

The Denver Nuggets‘ 2021-2022 season will be off and running before we know it on 20 Oct. against none other than the Phoenix Suns, the reigning Western Conference champs and the team that booted the Nuggs from the 2021 playoffs in one of the cleaner four-game sweeps you’ll see. Since...

What would it have been like to join LeBron and Jokic on the same team?

When Lebron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers was being sought after by the entire league. Any franchise wanted to have one of the best players in history in its dressing room. And it was not going to be different in the Denver nuggets that they wanted to join Nikola Jokic.

Carmelo Anthony Loves LeBron James, but Not Enough to Bench Himself

New Los Angeles Lakers veteran Carmelo Anthony has never lacked confidence in his career. He’s looking forward to teaming up with a longtime friend and NBA draft classmate, LeBron James, for the first time outside an Olympics setting. The goal is completing the long chase for the championship ring. But he’s been making noise while on a media tour promoting his new memoir, Where Tomorrows Aren’t Promised.

The ongoing Ben Simmons’ saga seemingly has no end. It’s threatening to hold the Philadelphia 76ers hostage as they prepare to start training camp on Sept. 27. The trade rumors are through the roof. The latest one has identified the Denver Nuggets as a “sleeper” team to acquire Simmons. NBA...

How the Denver Nuggets handed the Utah Jazz a contending core

Hindsight, as we know, is 20/20, and neither the Utah Jazz or Denver Nuggets have ever entered an NBA Draft with its benefit. Regardless, it must be painful for the Nuggets to reflect on the decisions they made that led to the Jazz’s current path to title contention. They gift-wrapped and personally hand-delivered them their two best players for next-to-nothing in return.
