But even through a pandemic, our city’s dining scene has persevered. With the overwhelming amount of recent openings (particularly in Deep Ellum, Bishop Arts, and downtown), it’s easy to forget that many in the industry are still struggling, but Texas restaurants have been innovating to provide the comfort food — and cocktails — we need. Now, it’s time to look forward to the Dallas restaurant news ahead.

Report: Ben Bishop Headed to Texas Stars on Conditioning Assignment

The Dallas Stars plan to assign goaltender Ben Bishop to the Texas Stars on a conditioning assignment, according to Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas Morning News. Earlier today, DeFranks reported in a tweet, “The Stars plan on sending goaltender Ben Bishop on a conditioning assignment to AHL affiliate Texas this week, according to a source.” Bishop missed all of the 2020-21 season with a knee injury and has been on long-term injured reserve to this point in the season for Dallas.
