Stephen Michael Killey, 60

Stephen Michael Killey, 60, of Plano, IL, passed away on September 22, 2021 surrounded by family. Stephen was born on November 12, 1960 in Aurora, IL to James and Marjorie (Newkirk) Killey. Stephen was a loving husband of 40 happy years to his wife Anita. He worked for over 35 years as a chemical processor for Dial Corp. in Montgomery, IL, and retired in August 2018. Stephen enjoyed fishing and going camping at River Bay Campground in Wisconsin. He loved watching the Chicago White Sox and Pittsburg Steelers. He enjoyed watching Sunday and Monday Night Football. He also enjoyed his man cave. He previously served for 15 years as a firefighter/EMT for the Little Rock Fox Fire Protection District. He coached Plano baseball, softball, and PYTF. More than anything, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

After their 7-2 victory over the second-place Cleveland Indians on Thursday, the Chicago White Sox have clinched the American League Central title. The White Sox (86-66) lead the Indians (74-77) by 11½ games ahead of Game 2 of their doubleheader Thursday night. It’s the sixth division championship for the White Sox and first since 2008. They are the first MLB team to clinch a division this season and are making their first back-to-back postseason appearances in franchise history.
