Pioneer cabin reshingled, awaiting further restoration

Kittson County’s oldest standing structure is getting special attention. The Erick Norland log cabin, which sits on the grounds of the Kittson County History Center/ Museum in Lake Bronson, has been a long-standing favorite for visitors. It is the original cabin built in 1881 by the first Swedish settlers in the county. Over the years, Museum Director Cindy Adams, employees and volunteers have taken action to keep it in decent condition. But, time has taken its toll.
