Texas Tech Credit Union to Fund Raider Red Statue

The longtime supporter of the Raider Red program will create a lasting tribute to the Texas Tech mascot. Texas Tech University will receive its newest addition to the Public Art Collection thanks to a generous $150,000 gift from the Texas Tech Credit Union: A life-sized bronze statue of Raider Red.

New doctor joining Uvalde Family Practice next month

The newest addition to the Uvalde Memorial Hospital system, El Paso native Dr. Cecilia Jo Murillo, M.D., will start seeing patients at Uvalde Family Practice beginning Aug. 2. Murillo received a Master of Science in biomedical sciences in 2014 and went on to complete a Doctorate of Medicine at Texas Tech University in Lubbock in 2017. Murillo completed a residency in family medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Department in Lubbock in June of 2020.
