The Technology Councils of North America has released the results of a study that examines the migration of technology workers in the post-pandemic world, and Indiana is near the top of the growth list. The report shows while traditional tech hubs continue to drive jobs, hundreds of thousands of tech roles are being created in what TECNA calls “surprising places.”

County Seeks Lithium Valley Funding for Infrastructure

EL CENTRO — The county of Imperial is working to improve roads and infrastructure in the Valley as state funding related to Lithium Valley becomes available. The Department of Public Works has submitted congressional earmark requests for about $25 million for bridges to support the development of a commercial and industrial corridor between the Lithium Valley area at the southern shores of the Salton Sea and the Gateway of the Americas on border with Mexico, Public Works Director John Gay said to the Board of Supervisors in an update on his department’s activities on Tuesday, May 17.

Craig County, Virginia, sparsely settled and mountainous, has a long history of mining for valuables — iron, manganese, cryptocurrency. Actually, crypto mining in Craig doesn’t have a long history. But there is a company in New Castle that is refurbishing and selling crypto mining equipment. Manifold Mining is investing approximately $420,000 to convert a former furniture plant into a center of operations.
