The New Orleans Saints may not be able to return home just yet, as their home stadium may require some additional repairs soon. According to a video captured and posted online by Kelsey Davis of Fox 8 New Orleans, the Caesars Superdome roof appears to have caught fire on Tuesday.

NEW ORLEANS: The New Orleans Fire Department has reported that they have received reports of a three-alarm fire around 1 pm at the stadium. Crews had the fire under control around 1:30 pm, but are still working the scene looking for hot spots. The stadium was evacuated for safety.

Mayor of New Orleans says Saints should be able to return to Superdome for their Week 4 matchup vs. Giants

The New Orleans Saints will have a "home game" against the Green Bay Packers this coming Sunday, but they won't be anywhere near Bourbon Street. Due to the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, the team is unable to play their Week 1 game at Caesars Superdome and are now slated to begin their 2021 season at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville. While this isn't the most ideal way to begin the regular season for the Saints, their absence from New Orleans doesn't appear like it will be much longer.
