MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Showers have been few and far between. A much more unsettled weather pattern looks to arrive by the weekend. A stray shower is possible this evening, but most of the Gulf Coast will remain dry and warm. Temperatures will slowly cool falling into the 70s by 10 PM. Overnight lows will bottom out in the lower 70s with areas of patchy fog by sunrise Thursday.

We’ll start our Thursday with a warm, muggy, and mainly sunny morning. Sunrise temperatures will settle into the middle and lower 70s, climbing to the upper 80s and lower 90s by the afternoon. While most spots will avoid rain today there will be a few downpours and storms for our deep inland areas, especially those spots close to Lake Okeechobee during the later afternoon and early evening.

SUNRISE, Fla. - After alternating wins and losses for the first six games of the playoffs, it seems the Lightning have found their groove. Fort Pierce - Thursday May 19, 2022: 'Save the Chimps' has announced the rescue of seven chimpanzees from the Wildlife Waystation in California. The chimps, known as the 'Sunrise Seven', are now in the process of being transported from California to their new home at the 'Save the Chimps' refuge on Carole Noon Lane in Fort Pierce. Some of them have a history of being used for biomedical research, others have been used for entertainment purposes.

A new KGW documentary called 'One Day' takes a closer look at Portland's homeless crisis. Kyle Iboshi joined Sunrise to talk about the making of the documentary.
