No. 4 Oregon faces Stony Brook after big win over Ohio State

Stony Brook (1-1) at No. 4 Oregon (2-0), Saturday at 7:30 p.m. EDT (Pac-12 Network). Line: No line, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Series record: First meeting. Oregon says the game against Stony Brook is a chance to get better, but mostly it’s an opportunity to rest players who got beat up in last week’s big win over then-No. 3 Ohio State. The Ducks jumped from No. 12 to No. 4 in the AP Top 25 following the win. Even if they sit their usual starters, the Ducks should have an easy time over Stony Brook. The FCS-level Seawolves are coming off a 24-3 victory over Colgate, but just don’t have the size or skill level to match up with Oregon.

Football Falls at FAU

Boca Raton, Fla. – Tonight's game with Florida Atlantic University got off to a later start than anticipated, thanks to some late afternoon lightning strikes in the area around FAU Stadium. The late start didn't seem to affect the Ram defense as they held the Owls in check early but the Fordham offense couldn't seem to get on track as Fordham fell to FAU, 45-14, on Saturday night.

UNH football: Edwards, Bush star in 27-21 shootout at Stony Brook

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Uncertainty surrounded University of New Hampshire (UNH) football (1-0, 1-0) when the team made the trip to Stony Brook (0-1, 0-1) for Thursday night’s opener. The loss of their starting quarterback just days prior, and a number of unproven – yet promising – players on the defense left some things up in the air ahead of week one. Senior safety Pop Bush and junior quarterback Bret Edwards served as stabilizing forces for the Wildcats, however, in a narrow 27-21 victory over the Seawolves.
