An Accident And Four Arrests In The Highway Patrol Report

State Troopers report one accident and several arrests for the area counties over the weekend. Saturday morning, a Marceline man was injured in a single-vehicle accident in Macon County. State Troopers responded to the accident on Route C, south of Bevier to find 38-year-old Jason Farris of Marceline was northbound and ran off the right side of the road, struck the ditch and his pick-up overturned. Farris had minor injuries and was taken to Samaritan Hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a safety belt.

Two Injured In Carroll County Accident

An accident on US 24 in Carroll County left two with minor injuries. State Troopers responded to the crash on US 24 near County Road 241at about 5:50 pm Wednesday. According to the report, 19-year-old Trenton Kiesling of Buckner was westbound and crossed the centerline, striking a car driven by 30-year-old Patrick Swan of Brunswick. Keisling was wearing a safety belt and was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital. Swan was not wearing a and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshal.

State Troopers report 48-year-old Erin K Hand of Marceline was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield following the accident on Route WW, a mile east of Marceline. Jamestown woman charged with DWAI by drugs after traffic stop

A Jamestown woman is facing driving while ability impaired by drugs after a traffic stop on Route 60 near Fredonia on Monday. State Troopers pulled over a vehicle that 45-year-old Trisha Kaprolat was driving. After failing several standard field sobriety tests, Troopers arrested Kaprolat. After being evaluated, Troopers say a State Police drug recognition expert determined that Kaprolat was under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant. Kaprolat provided a urine sample and was then processed. She was issued tickets and is scheduled to appear in Pomfret Town Court later in the month.
