Police Beat for Friday, June 18th, 2021

Salem Police arrested two persons wanted on warrants and later took one of them into custody for possession of methamphetamine. Police located 37-year-old Robert Garney of Selmaville Road and 34-year-old Shannon Garney of Robin Road in Salem at a residence together. Robert Garney was wanted on a Cumblerland County failure to appear warrant for driving on a suspended license and for possession of meth. Shannon Garney was arrested on a Marion County failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000.

Area Man Injured in Route 19 Rollover Crash

GREENWOOD TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Cochranton man was injured in a crash that occurred on U.S. Highway 19 on Tuesday morning. According to Meadville-based State Police, the accident happened around 8:47 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, on U.S. Highway 19 just north of Route 285, in Greenwood Township, Crawford County.

One woman dead, after car accident on Route 90

CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM)- State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 90 eastbound at the 50.2 mile mark in Chicopee Friday. According to State Police, Troopers responded at around 1:45 PM Friday. According to Police, a 2005 Subaru Forester was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over. The vehicle crossed over the median into the westbound lanes of Route 90. Police said the bodies were ejected from the vehicle.

An off-duty trooper with the New Jersey State Police and a good Samaritan on a bicycle saved two kayakers who fell overboard in a Monmouth County inlet, authorities said. Sgt. First Class Erin Smith was driving over the Glimmer Glass Drawbridge in Manasquan on Sunday when she saw two women struggling in the creek near an overturned kayak and floating orange life vests, according to NJ State Police.

Early Morning Fire Destroys Canandaigua Garage

Investigators are looking into what caused a detached garage to catch on fire at around midnight Thursday morning in the town of Canandaigua. When firefighters arrived at 2140 Risser Road, the garage was fully engulfed and the fire had extended up the wood siding and into the attic of the nearby two-story log home.
