Watch SpaceX launch its 1st Starlink satellites in months

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — SpaceX will launch its first full stack of Starlink broadband satellites since May tonight (Sept. 13) and you can watch the action live online. The private spaceflight company will launch a full stack of 60 Starlink satellites on one of its fleet leaders, a veteran Falcon 9 dubbed B1049. The frequent flier is scheduled to blast off from Space Launch Complex 4 at Vandenberg Space Force Station in California at 11:55 p.m. EDT (8:55 p.m. PDT or 0355 GMT on Sept. 14).

A SpaceX rocket with four first time astronauts is set to launch from the Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday night and it might be visible from North Carolina. The 8:02 pm liftoff time comes about 40 minutes after sunset for central North Carolina. As the sun sinks below the horizon, it is still shining at higher altitudes. The next SpaceX Dragon spacecraft to visit the International Space Station will launch next Saturday (Aug. 28), and if you're an early-bird you can watch it all online. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the Dragon CRS-23 cargo ship for NASA from Pad 39A of the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral Florida. Liftoff is set for 3:37 a.m. EDT (0837 GMT), so be ready to wake up extra early (or just stay up super late) if you want to watch it. The launch will be carried live on this page courtesy of NASA Television, SpaceX's YouTube channel, as well as their respective social media channels. Inspiration4 astronauts to conduct health research on private SpaceX mission

The private astronauts of Inspiration4 will be helping to expand our understanding of how space affects the human body on their mission around Earth. On Sept. 15, a crew of four will launch to space as part of Inspiration4, a private orbital mission on SpaceX's Crew Dragon that will benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It will be the first all-civilian space mission to orbit our planet. Aside from raising funds for St. Jude, the mission will also serve to investigate the effects of spaceflight on human health and performance in collaboration with SpaceX, the Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) at Baylor College of Medicine and investigators at Weill Cornell Medicine.
