‘The Great Debate’ Host Trevor Phillips Talks Racism, ‘Gogglebox’ and Nicki Minaj Ahead of New Sky Show Debut

Trevor Phillips has achieved the rare distinction of becoming both a national treasure and something of a provocateur in the U.K. Over the past four decades, he has turned his hand to writing, broadcasting, documentary-making, politics and even retail (he spent four years as president of U.K. department store John Lewis’s “partnership council”), among other public service pursuits. Max Verstappen’s second place finish at the Russian Grand Prix “feels like a victory”, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has said. The Dutchman started at the back of the grid in Sochi after Red Bull decided to change his engine and had worked his way through the field into seventh heading into the closing stages. But the arrival of late rain presented Verstappen with the opportunity to change into intermediate tyres before the cars in front of him and the 23-year-old surged into second place to finish behind title rival Lewis Hamilton. The Mercedes driver still reclaimed the lead...
