School resource officer accused of sexual offense identified

According to Jonesboro television station KAIT, 53-year-old Rob Pilkington of West Plains was arrested after an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The agency’s website shows Pilkington was booked into the Douglas County Jail in Ava on Thursday on a felony count of third-degree child molestation.

School Resource Officer arrested on sexual offense

A school resource officer (SRO) has been arrested in Howell County for a sexual offense involving a student. In a statement linked to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Sheriff Brent Campbell says his department received allegations Wednesday involving an employee. Sheriff Campbell says the allegations were ones of “moral turpitude and a sexual offense.”

South Fork SRO Charged with Statutory Rape

The Howell County Sheriff’s Office and the West Plains School District released separate statements this afternoon informing parents and the community that the School Resource Officer (SRO) at South Fork Elementary has been arrested and charged with sex crimes. Formal charges of statutory sodomy and deviant sexual activity with a child less than 14 years of age have been filed, confirms Howell County Sheriff Brent Campbell.

One Juvenile facing charges

Breathitt High School has received three bomb threats in the past two weeks. Students were evacuated and went to the stadium.
