Handgun found during recess at Lincoln Elementary

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Children of Lincoln Elementary School went outside for an enjoyable recess, but instead noticed a firearm on the playground. The weapon was loaded with birdshot upon the time of discovery. Students gave the weapon to a teacher who then gave it to the school Principal, Joeseph Siennicki.

Moms for Liberty is connected to the firing of yet another superintendent

This week’s firing of yet another superintendent—Brennan Asplen of Sarasota County Schools—further shows the wide impact of Moms for Liberty. A co-founder of the conservative activist group, Bridget Ziegler, is now the chair of Sarasota County’s school board, which was expected to vote late Tuesday on terminating Asplen’s contract just over two years after he took the reins of the southwest Florida district early in the COVID pandemic. It was Asplen’s first stint as a superintendent after working as an administrator and educator elsewhere in Florida.

Davison High School student arrested for alleged threatening text message

DAVISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) - A Davison High School student is facing criminal charges for allegedly sending a threatening text message to other students Tuesday afternoon. A letter to parents from Davison Community Schools says the student, who was not identified, sent a text message when classes ended around 2:35 p.m. to fellow students that says "school is going to be crazy."

ROCORI Students Thanked by Administration Staff for Quickly Reporting Social Media Threat

(KNSI) – The ROCORI School District took fast action after some students reported that something was out of sorts on Tuesday. According to ROCORI Secondary Principal Ryan Hauge, an unsubstantiated social media post indicated a potential threat to ROCORI schools. Administrators say the students quickly reported the post to adults. The ROCORI Secondary administration and Cold Spring Police Department started investigating immediately.
